Insurance – The insurance sector of the island proved its credibility and resilience in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma in 2017.  Full homeowners insurance is available from several credible companies.  Rates will vary depending on the property and details of the policy, but as a general guideline, you can estimate that your annual premium will cost approximately 1% of the overall insured value.  

In addition to homeowners insurance, most insurance providers on St. Maarten also offer, vehicle insurance, health insurance, business insurance, and many other forms of protection.
